New film "Wimbledon"

Anyone who lives in Seven Dials area near the hairdressers "Headroom" (Powis Road) may (or may not!) be interested to know that this film is out at the end of the month

Reason I mention it is that the film company took over the hairdressers for a couple of days last summer and transformed it into a bookies to do some filming there

Film stars Paul Bettany and the girl from Spider-Man (is it Kirsten someone?)

Live in the area so kinda interested to see my street on a Hollywood blockbuster!!

(PS co-owner and couple of the lads that work there are massive BHA fans so if you want a haircut and to talk endlessly about the Albion whilst your sitting there, that's the place to go )

Its because the film company liked the facade of "Headroom" and the area it is situated in, with a backdrop of the sea and it was easy enough to alter the shop to look like a bookies. They completely redid the shop's interior (wooden floors, etc which they've left) and paid the hairdressers' £1000s to close for the week to be able to film there.

they filmed outside the Ship Hotel, corner of Black Lion Street too, I rode to work as I do one morning and saw all the film crew and this nice looking car.....10mins i was told that Kirsten Dunst was INSIDE the car

Strolled back down but they had finished filming by then and I missed her

I didnt even realise it was set in brighton until this thread! i saw it advertised in america on a few billboards, so it must be quite big!

Two of my friends are in that film. One just happened to be at Wimbledon on the day of filming, whilst the other was invited to auditions by her friend, who never got in! I think she's in a scene coming out of a club; some place down the marina where they filmed something.
