They've overdubbed Boba Fett's voice with Jango's - which does make sense.

The addition of the younger Anakin at the end of ROTJ is brilliant.

The removal of Luke's silly scream in ESB is a God send.

The proper Emperor in ESB makes more sense.

Also Alec Guiness was such a great actor - at the start of ANH when Luke asks him about his father, he looks like he knows what the background story is even though it was nowhere near being finalised or even conceived.

Shame about the lack of deleted scenes though - I have a CD Rom called Behind the Magic and it has such a different opening 20 minutes including Luke talking with friends (Koo Stark) and the extras (Han Solo's girlfriend) in the Cantina scene - surely worth knocking out on the DVD too?

Surely it's time to really dig out the crap and release the Star Wars Holiday Special too!

Worst thing about special editions is the fact that they left out the Ewok song at the very end.

That is the clone army isnt it?

quote from Lucas himself:

"I had thought of using Boba Fett earlier on, which is how I came to use him in the first place as a bounty hunter, His role really has more to do with the clones than it does with anything else. Boba Fett originally came out of the fact that he was associated with the Stormtroopers. There was a relationship between them that had to do with the fact that they were all clones. Boba Fett was the son of original clone. And that story was all I had to go with when Boba Fett was introduced in Empire. (ESB) That was his back-story. That was all I had on him. But I?ve continued that idea and expanded on it in Episode II."

I missed that one - Is that where he screams falling downwards after he's been given a good kicking by Vader?

Also, I noticed the Stormtroopr smacking his head is back in with comedy clunk noise.
