Photo-id isn't up to much anyway. The driving licence images are so small and blurry - mine could be almost anyone vaguely 'male, 50s, dark hair (what's left of it)'

I’ve been to 18 away games since returning to the UK 2.5 years ago and never been ID-checked. Would be quite happy to be so though. Not sure why anyone would object.

Still the longest it’s ever taken me to get in an away ground and I was far from alone!
If you were alone it's unlikely it would have taken a long time to get in.

Oh and never had to collect - cos I is a good boy.

Burnley game, 1st time had an ID check at the turnstiles. All good though for both of us
Bit bizarre as I was pulled up by a BHA steward to show the tickets for the 3 of us expecting to show ID but he didn’t ask. As I was approaching the away turnstiles anyway it was a bit of an exercise in futility. I had nothing to hide so hey ho

sorry if fixtures but apparently the club will now be selecting a random sample of tickets to not send out, these tickets must then be collected at the away club's ticket offices on match day, subject to showing the correct ID

I know the club want to be pretty strict on this issue, but as a solution, this seems a little over the top and inefficient. will cause further delays at the already packed ticket offices

Guilty until proven innocent?

Only ever get checked at Palace. Even then, my lad forgot his driving licence last season and they let him in with his bank card...

EDIT: in this country.
