f*** sake. I have a bet on Shrewsbury winning the league. Hardly a top replacement for Holt.

I'm not so sure - he was doing very well at Brentford before his injury. I always liked Elder - seemed like a nice chap and always tried his best.

Good news. That's another ex-Albion player who won't be scoring against us this season then*.

*Apart from the Paint Pot etc. Obviously.

Wow, that's a surprise, as I thought he was out for a few months yet with that eye injury. If that's all cleared up ahead of schedule then that's excellent. I think Elder and Jakey could be a very good pairing at Shrews.

Bit of a shock was doing well at Brentford before the assault on the pitch and subsequent injury. Will be good with Robinson

Up your alley
Carl Cort has been taken on for initial 5 months at Brentford.
How soon before wiki entry for him is changed - currently:
Following spells at several minnow clubs, Cort signed for London Giants Brentford on 4th August 2009. When asked about his new challenge, standing outside his mothers bungalow, Cort commented 'To wear the red and white stripes of this fantastic club is a great honor'.

That in laymens terms means I am desperate for a club.

He should score quite a few goals for Shrewsbury alongside Jakey.

Every time he gets a trial he gets a contract. How come he looks good until the whistle blows.

Abort, retry, fail
Every time he gets a trial he gets a contract. How come he looks good until the whistle blows.

Of his 25 odd appearances for Brighton, he made most/all from the bench, so that doesn't quite make sense and he did well at Brentford, whilst claiming a starting berth.

I was disappointed to lose him. He is the sort of player that will find a way to score when his confidence is up and will harry (how do you spell that? Never used it before) defenders into making mistakes. Shrewsbury seem to be secretly building a decent team. Good luck to them.
