You keep saying "He centred it". What does centre mean? Didn't like the bit about the ref being bias, thought it was lazy writing and in my opinion the ref was pretty fair throughout

"Centred it" means passed the ball towards the central area of the opposing teams defence - a phrase quite often used by football journalists. I will see if in future I can find an alternative phrase. I sit the West Stand so had a good view of Santos's attempts to control Buckley in the first half which should have got him booked for persistent fouling. It's like being marked by the English teacher at school!
