Must play Jarrett Saturday

My boss is a Gills fan and he has pointed out that they are currently playing a center back at right back, of the same pace as Guy Butters.

Looking at their last two games, is it me or have all the goals come from Sunderland and Reading attacking the right back?

Well that is my thinking and obviously being that i am an expert from the comfort of my armchair!!!!!!

What does everyone else think?

Sunderland scored at least three of their four down that flank, and the only Reading goal I saw came from Bozzie's cross from the left. I would like to see Jarrett in the team anyway - I don't think Hinsh works there

A newbie near me at the Wolves game asked "so why wasn't he on from the start" about 90 seconds after Albert had taken the field.

I don't understand why McGhee doesn't start with him when we've got others struggling in midfield playing out of position.

Jarrett always brings something to the team, but McGhee seems frightened to use him.

its all down to having a more defensive midfield. mcghee knows left backs are struggling at the moment so he dosent want to start with a completely attacked minded winger at the moment. i would love to see jarret start but i see what mcghee is doing

I think basically that if Jarrett played Currie would be swithed to the right. Against wolves he would have provided no cover against the strong quick Korean player.

That's a pretty fair assessment and a policy i would agree with at this moment time. Jarrett does have attacking qualities that can win us free kicks but there are still questions about the quality of his timing and quality of final ball delivery and his finishing. When QPR had us under pressure in the last few minutes on Sat, Jarrett from a defensive stance was next to useless and fortunate not to get a yellow for a blatant tug back.

On the subject of the midfield am i the only person to think that Nathan Jones could do the job on the right. Hinshelwood has done well but when he goes forward he still looks very much like the defender he naturally is (don't forget that his goal was a virtual tap in). Personally i think Jones on his day offers you a mix of attacking & defensive qualities.

Oh and Michel, stop trying the Roberts style quick throw! 3 Times you put the full back under pressure. Stick to your strengths.

Carpenter
Niolas
Currie

Molango

Subs: McPhee, Oatway, Hinshelwood, Harding.
