I heard from 2 different people last night that Poyet and Murray have had a pretty big bust up lately, and that is why Glenn has featured little, I'm not sure I believe it myself, just passing on what I have heard, don't shoot the messenger.

I certainly hope not, and it is just Gus thinking Glenn is more of an impact player, and that now he sees we need him from the start. Any hint of a bust up and I get scared the harmony of our squad will be knocked out of sync with the love feel we have going atm :/

I do hope it's not the case but goes on all the time in football, to be fair. Oh, & there's usually only one winner.

If this is true, which to be honest we all hope it isn't, you can't really blame Glenn for being a tad miffed.

Gus has kept faith with barnes, when he has been misfiring ( yes he is leading scorer but on the laws of averages, he should be) and then he brings in a loanee and plays him ahead of Glenn,

I actually feel sorry for him

Murray didn't look particularly disgruntled last night. He was HAMMERING in the shots in the warm-up, looked pretty happy when he was knocking the ball around with OGH at half-time and when he came on, was all over the pitch, working hard. At full-time he was high-fiving everyone and shaking hands all over the place.

They didn't look like the actions of someone who was pissed off with life at Albion.

well there's only one way for Murray to prove Poyet wrong for dropping him, and that's on the pitch. He certainly made an impact yesterday and Poyet did single out praise for the 3 substitutes

Do you know what I think we need?

ANOTHER thread about why Murray hasn't started lately. FFS, sometimes players are swapped round, why do people always have to add 2+2 and make 7?

*or is that the inevitable result of the education cuts? :p

Of course one could say he's putting himself in the shop window, I do worry though, if he is on his way in January, we will need to spend big to replace him, Barnes + Wood are not the solution

If you were a glass half empty type of person, yes.

Alternatively, he could be knuckling down to prove to the manager that he's worth a starting position ahead of any of the other strikers we have.

Maybe he hasn't been dropped? Maybe he's being rested as much as possible until we get some more strength up front this week? I've seen Murray, like most of us, since he joined The Albion and he's looked a hell of a lot unhappier in the past. In fact, last night he seemed to be well up for the game, worked hard and to me looked quite happy-far from the look of somebody wanting away.

Do we know why Murray was benched in favour of Wood/Barnes?

Murray has started pretty much every league game this season.
