Yes, a Brit won the US Open Tennis Tournament today in Flushing Meadows New York.

Congratulations to Andrew Murray, who took the Youth Trophy. MacEnroe said how surprising it is for us to have an outstanding player (a bit of a slap for HENman, I would say).

Even if it isn't the full senior trophy (which Hewitt just capitulated to Federer in somewhat cavalier fashion) it is a remarkable achievement for the lad.

Well done Andrew Murray, a name to watch for the future.
