I've been a regular since 1985 - and I'm gonna go for the Mcshane header @ Palace .... never seen a Brighton end go so mental .... Reinults equaliser @ Hereford is an extremely close second! .... yours?

Not stating the obvious, Man City, Swindon, Hereford, Doncaster games, it would have to be being mascot against Pompey at home (91) - we won 3-2 and the crowd was 11,000 odd.

Also Dean Wilkins away at Chesterfield with his rousing speech at the full time whistle to the travelling army who had gone to the game despite not winning a game in about 10 matches. Joe Gatting scored the winner!

Mark McCammon at Le Harve when he heard the super Mark chants walked over to the fans, and then realising we were singing Super Market trolley, then turning round and walking off

Megaphone at Wycombe was amazing too

Dean Wilkins last minute free kick against Ipswich, last league game of the season '91 at the Goldstone to edge us into the play-offs. Proper Roy of the Rovers moment. Lost my voice, lost a trainer, bruised and battered but absolutely joyful.

Anyone who was on that THAT unofficial coach to Swindon back in '96 for that night match will probably have that as one of their top moments, what a day!

I am torn between the Cup Semi Final at Highbury and the promotion game at Newcastle with St James Park , all singing GOSBTS as us getting promoted stopped Sunderland. My lasting memory as a youngster was going to The Goldstone at 2pm for an evening game kick off 7.30 which saw us beat Watford to gain our first ever promotion from Div III South to Div II.

Got to agree with Beach Hut, that day will live with me forever. I don't think I'll ever witness that again, football was different back then and that Cup run was one of the greatest ever. I hope my boys can experience what I did.

Don't forget we beat Newcastle, Man City, Liverpool, Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday on the way and only lost to United by a whisker.

6.15 kickoff according to Adrian Thorne in the 'Match of my Life' book, as apparently there were no floodlights at the Goldstone in those days !

The best moment rather than match or event. Top five, then
1. The final whistle at Hereford, as that meant we had a future
2. About 13 minutes past three on Saturday, 21 May when a header from Gordon Smith put Brighton one up in the FA Cup Final
3. Robbie Reinelt's equaliser at Hereford
4. The final whistle at St James's Park on 5 May, 1979. We are in the First Division.
5. The kick-off of Brighton v Torquay on 12 April 1967, condemning me to a life of alternating highs and lows for the subsequent 42 years, with more to come.

I wouldnt argue because I am not sure and simply cannot remember whether there was or was not lights there. Just know it was rumoured to have been a fix, didnt the Watford skipper commit suicide Glen Wilson left BHA for Exeter and an unknown Adrian Thoirne scored 5 goals for us,dont think he scored many for us after that in the next season.

Dunno BG, I just remembered it cos I was reading that book the other night.
6-0 win I believe, although we only needed a point to go up. And the whole team went and got ratarsed in the Hove Park Tavern afterwards.
