Hither (sometimes Thither)
They are changing our titles from Registration Officer to Customer Service Agent.
I prefer the one i currently work in. The latter fails to sum up what i do. Although some of that might just involve babbling in person, and wittering on NSC.

But now you are an AGENT.

Thats better than an officer. Officers are staid men in uniforms or suits. I shall picture you as Daniel Craig from now on abeit with a slight mental fragility of course.

For those of us who use NSC during work time, we must all have boring jobs. Infact NSC keeps me sane for 7.5 hours a day.

What did I do before NSC?

I'm not actually doing data input at Lloyds (dwayne's only about 6 years too late with that assertion), as glamorous as it sounds. Although I am doing a tediously boring temp job, although only for a few more hours until I start a new job on Tuesday.

I'd wager that what I've been doing all day today is more boring work than anyone else on here though.

i always thought the guy that puts the cone out in the long jump to stop athletes running, during the olympics has the most boring job

How dare you. He's an Athletics Approach Control Officer and it's a very responsible job.

Quite possibly. I'm closing insurance claims all day - its so monotonous. Although to be honest, as its my last day I'm taking the p*ss somewhat. I've spent the majority of my time on the internet following the cricket.

The most boring job I had : I was 16 and worked for a microfiching company. I had to take the perforated edges off computer paper so they were the right size for the machine. Day in day out for 2 months. That is all I had to do, rip, rip ,rip rip all f***ing day long. :shootself

I used to have the task of picking dead fish out of a reservoir during the blue green algae crisis.

Was enlivened slightly when we pulled a dead gipsy out one sunny morning.

Had an old girlfriend who proofread a tax law journal pre-publication.

Thrill a minute...and her job was dull, too.

Proof-reading bus timetable books used to be one of those jobs that drove people mad in the place that I worked.

Fortunately it only happened every six months and there was time to recover betweentimes.
