I think we should sign him if McGhee thinks he can sort out disciplinary problems with his players, he came through the youth ranks at Millwall and was rated very highly and made his debut at Withdean (i think) under McGhee in 2003 at the age of 15... OK he was later sacked by Millwall for threatening a team mate with a knife but that was when Wise was in charge... I reckon he could do a job for us up front if McGhee can control him.

:)

Scored quite a few for me in CM 03/04. Proof beyond all doubt. Very moody player in that game though, so they are thorough in their research

Yeah, same here. Picked him up on loan, then signed him permanently. Struck up a blinding partnership with Leon, as long as we passed the ball around, looked to get the ball in behind the defence and didn't just hoof it long .... ah, that could be the problem!

He's just signed for West Ham and is double Molango's wages.

Ashikodi gets Hammers chance

Young striker Moses Ashikodi will attempt to resurrect his career after being handed a lifeline by West Ham.

The 17-year-old striker left Millwall following an altercation with a team-mate but he has been rescued from the soccer scrapheap by the Hammers, whose manager Alan Pardew has signed him on a year's scholarship and a year's professional deal.

Pardew said: "He had a fall-out at his former club and he's on a last-chance with us. He's got major talent and hopefully will learn his lesson.

"He had an indiscipline at Millwall but everybody deserves a second chance and certainly he seems a lot calmer.

"He's an England youth international and he's got some major qualities."

If we're going to start signing players who are even younger than the ones Trigger and others say aren't yet experienced/big/good enough, then we might as well go down Peterborough's route and scrap our youth policy completely.
Well we're not are we? He's gone to West Ham... :lolol:

There's no denying he's better than any youngster we've got, sorry but that's true.

Ashikido is going to be top class one day if he can sort his attitude out and learn from the likes of Rebrov and Sheringham. Nothing wrong with trying to improve the squad with players like that. It's not like we're porducing top class strikers through our youth ranks anyway.
