John Morling takes charge of Albion's development squad for tonight’s friendly at Hastings (7.45pm).
The Academy director has been handed the reins following the recent departure of development coach Luke Williams.
Former Norwich City trainee Morling joined Albion from Peterborough United a year ago.
It is unclear whether 21-year-old Latvia international striker Deniss Rakels will be involved tonight.
Rakels is spending a week on trial with the Seagulls from Polish club Zaglebie Lubin after two seasons on loan to GKS Katowice.
Albion (from): Smith; Walton; Richards, March, Barry, Ince, Hunt, Goodwin, Rea, Dickenson, Asmundsson, Harris, Wiltshire, Benham, Deen, Muitt, Lall, Davis.
