I thought the Queen had Corgis not cats.
So it was factually inaccurate as well as being grossly insulting to her imperial majesty. I'm outraged. OUTRAGED! What IS this country coming too?

PS - What am I outraged about BTW? I think I'd better have a sliver of fact before I complain.

what the f*** you queen basher!

what is so bad about taking the piss out of her? It isn't disgraceful... she takes OUR money so why can't we make jokes out of her?

They aren't even english anyway they are germans... we should be standing up and oposing these wanna be facists instead of sacking a very talented comedien over a very funny joke...

Frankie Boyle is one of the only reasons that I am happy paying my licence fee. Most people should know that Mock The Week is going to have some fairly offensive humour on it so if you don't like the idea of it then don't watch it. It is pretty f***ing simple.

There are other BBC channels that you could be watching instead.

As far as the specific comment in question goes, it is just a joke and a pretty tame one by Boyle's standards.

It is a COMEDY show and therefore not meant to be taken seriously.

I can't believe how sensitive some people are getting these days.

He called on BBC viewers who were offended to hold off from paying their licence fee until the last possible moment by way of protest.

This made me chuckle - the idiots are all coming out at the moment! This is quite a worrying culture though where a newspaperdrags out a minor incident on TV/Radio with the aim of blowing it up into a cig controversy.
