I say give him a fair chance.

At this level, I think he just could play a decent role for us.

Well, we're not exactly overflowing with world-class strikers, are we (not that I'm suggesting he's one)?

We've kept him under contract all this time when others have been released, and tried just about every other single possible striking combination available to us, so why not at least give him another chance?

He is only still here as nobody else will take him.

He has a good third touch and once he has the ball under control he looks fairly quick, but as a rule by the time he has the ball under control the defenders are about to take it off him.

I agree, he must have some potential, otherwise why would the club have kept him. Him and our new "household name" striker!

The more you think about it, the more that 7/1 odds on the Albion being relegated looks seriously tempting. Stick 70 quid on, you could pay for your next season ticket innit. Obviously wouldn't be actually willing it to happen, but seriously can't see the club's patent lack of ambition or willingness to seek a cash injection ending in anything other than serious grief.

Unless MM saw something that he thought could benefit by him going out on loan I cannot understand why he is still being paid by us when others have been paid off and left. Why wasn't he paid off?

Its cheaper than paying him off.
