It’s wider than that. Virtually everyone I’ve heard or read commenting about it in the press has been full of praise for the club in general, and specifically about how this has been handled (yes, by Tony really). It’s pointed an even bigger spotlight at how he operates, and the fact we dumped Liverpool out of the cup at the weekend without MC has only increased that respect (lucky timing, if we’d lost, with MC stuck at home, the narrative would have been a bit different but the squad weren’t letting that happen which is also telling).
