I wonder if that was Boehly’s strategy in appointing Potter. Cast your mind back to September Potter was linked with becoming the next England manager, let alone being touted for several PL clubs. The question is does Potter have any say in who Chelsea bring in or is he now just a gofer for Boehly?
I absolutely think it was. He basically looked at the flavour of the month (Potter) and wanted that toy

A further £5m SLASHED off his "asking price".

Will no one take him? We will be stuck within him until the summer at this rate!

Does the Mirror not have subs any more? Apparently not, because the first question that I'd be asking is why a player described as a "crucial" part of the team is being offloaded at a discounted price? It doesn't make any sense.

January sales? TB broke and facing eviction from his properties? Or, complete and utter bullshit.

Ive seen this popping up all over twitter when Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal fans try to argue why they shouldnt have to pay £50m+ for a player we pay such tiny wages. But then when you question the source it seems to go back to where one guy has looked on some crap website that guesses these things, and others are just regurgitating the nonsense. I pointed out to some that the same website said that Haydon Roberts was on 10x the wages Caicedo was on so you might want to question if its a credible source, and most maintained their opinion of ''it must be true, i saw it on a website'' ... idiots.
Whatever Moises is earning he will have agreed when he signed the contract. I can't believe we are the sort of club who would take advantage of young players by paying them a pittance. Bottom line here is that he is our asset until his contract runs out, and we don't have to sell unless the price is right!!

You could argue that if he is on really low wages then that pushes his asking price even higher. Why? Because it makes him worth more to us.

So for example. If he was on 10k a week and replacing him for a player of such quality might cost 100k then that is 90k a week. So over a year that is almost 5 million quid. Three year contract means 15 million.

So whatever the asking price is, I have just added 15 million quid to it.

If Cucurella was £63m it’s got to be more than that, no question.

Give Moises a new contract regardless, he deserves to be on more than that, I genuinely think he will go on to be one of the best midfielders in the world, he has every single attribute.

The bullshit from the media is amusing to me. At any one time you’ve got 3-4 minimum different “reliable ITK’s” all saying different things about the same player.

It’s like the psychics; make 100 guesses, including ones which contradict themselves, and bury the wrong ones when you get a “hit”.

Use common sense and hype to find the most desirable/in form players (MacAllister, Caicedo), link them to the only clubs in the world that can afford them (Liverpool, Chelsea etc). Eventually be coincidentally right and claim to be ITK all along, while your 99 other guesses are forgotten about.

Basically, be Fabrizio Romano.
