Anyone know the latest on Jakob Moder? I seem to recall RDZ mentioning at back end of last year that he would be back in training in early new year.

In the press conference before the Palace game RDZ said he couldn't say for sure but he hoped Moder would be able to play this season. There were some social media posts in the new year with Jakub training on his own "on the grass" as the kids like to say. The prognosis then was back in action March/April so maybe that has slipped slightly.

While we were reeling through Caicedogate I thought it would be good to remind myself of the cut of his jib.

My memory had him as a furthest forward, younger (healthier) version of The Lana, while the great and good had him as a replacement for Moises.

Well worth a watch although you'll end it feeling sad he was injured while he was just getting into his stride.

Every couple of weeks the fact that Jakub is still out pops into my head.

I’m really hopeful that we see him this season, even if it’s just for 10 minutes off the bench for the occasional cameo. Still wishing him all the best for a full recovery, with no injury “hangover”.

While we’ve covered his absence, the injury came just as he’d started consistently performing for us, and we’re stronger with him being available.

When the exhausted Ale Mac had to come off on Wednesday night, and Caicedo was walking a second-yellow tightrope, my lad did mention how much you'd love to have someone solid like Moder on the bench, rather than the school trip we had sat on there!
