Precisely. His mother is the Chairman of Kensington and Chelsea Conservative Association, and looks and sounds like it. However, the biggest one is Tony Blair. He started dropping his h's and t's on the Des O'Connor Show and hasn't stopped since. Speaking of accents, it just shows what great actors Ronnie Barker was and David Jason is. Both put on cockney accents brilliantly, but when interviewed, spoke in highly refined Home Counties accents.

Just watching Bob Hoskins on Jonathan Ross ?

Is his accent for real ? Seem to recall some very old footage of him at an actors wokrshop sounding very posh. Maybe that accent was invented.

My dad sold a car to him years ago and I seem to recall the Cockney accent then.

There's just something about it that doesn't sound quite right.
