My contract is up in a month or so, and now I want a new phone. In fact, I'm going to get my son his first phone for his birthday too.

Has anyone come across any good deals I should look into, that involve two new handsets? As long as they are both smartphones, that's all I need really.

Cheers for any help you might offer.

Tesco Mobile doing some good deals at the moment. They use the O2 network.

I have three smartphones on Virgin mobile, each with 500Mb of data 3000 minutes plus 250 texts, for around 35 quid a month in total. Helps to be an existing customer and to haggle.

If you want to use your phone and data abroad I'd recommend o2. If you're in europe then it's £2 a day for data and 50p a call (then usual UK allowance). Much much cheaper than Virgin.

Out of interest how old is your boy, I was wondering what the "norm" is for children to start getting mobiles?
