I didn't know that BBC 5Live Sports Extra were carrying games live.

I'm currently listening the Yankees trying to save their season, and doing pretty well.

Not only are the games live on the radio, announced by US commentators, but the inter inning links are hosted by Jonny Gould and Josh Chetwynd.

Bloomin' marvellous news for us "baseball nuts"

Yankess smahed it last night, very disapointing, however on tv they did a helicopter view of the stadium, looked as if theere was a 'soccer pitch' right next door.

Bloody hell TEXAS go to the fall classic for the first time in their fifty year history.

Congrats Peter Grummit, I had no idea they hadn't been before. I've only been following since 1985 though.

Great stuff for all Rangers fans, not to mention mercentary carpetbaggers like me. No game 7 also means Cliff Lee back at the top of the rotation.
Think Philly may well sneak past SF but even if they do, they couldn't win the WS last year when they had Lee on the payroll. THis time around he's with the opposition.

Cheers Barry, still can't quite believe it. Sussex won Div 2, Albion top o' the League and the Rangers in the "Y'all Classic"!

Have only been watching them since I worked out there in '87 - I gather the Arlington, Tx Mayor who brought them over from Washington in '71 was there last night.

I wasn't too bothered that the Angels let Vlad go after a disappointing final year of his contract, but he played a major role in the Rangers success this year and has now made it to his first World Series. I hope he gets his ring.

The Yankees are out – oh dear what a shame, boo hoo etc. They were outpitched, outhit and outplayed by the Rangers with a lot of bad decisions by Girardi. So what do the Yankees do following this humiliation – they will get out their cheque books like they usually do and start buying players. The Rangers’ Cliff Lee will probably be their first target following his impending free agency and, unfortunately, nobody can outbid the Yankees.
