why shouldnt they move away they didnt really have much choice as london council wouldnt allow them to build a ground in merton and Wimbeldon would have folded if they had stayed at shelhurst as palace were charging more and more.

OK if they were to go under that is one thing but being allowed to uproot the team and move it 60 miles (or so) away is an absolute discrace. Not a natural death but murder.

THEY WANTED A NEW STADIUM IN WIMBLEDON.

BUT KOPPEL PUT FORWARD RIDICOLOUS PLANS INCLUDING STATING FOR EXAMPLE HUGE CAR PARKING FACILITIES AND CAR TRAVELLING DEMANDS. MMMM DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT GOES AGAINGST NATIONAL PLANNING POLICY ON SUCH MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS AND OF COURSE EVEN TIGHTER LONDON AND LOCAL COUNCIL POLICIES.

HE WANTED OUT OF LONDON AND BY PURE CHANCE MILTON KEYNES HAS THE LARGEST POPULATION (500,000) OF ANY CITY WITHOUT A NATIONWIDE CLUB.
