Another health thread I’m afraid! My Mum (72) self-reported to the GP with mild memory issues (walking into rooms and not remembering why, that kind of thing) hoping to get ahead of dementia, for which she has a family history.
She was referred to the MAS, memory assessment service, who referred her for a CT brain scan. The scan has shown “mild brain atrophy in the frontal and perisylvian regions”.
A bit of Googling shows this is very common in older people and the GP comment to the report is “in the MAS pathway”.
Just wondering if anyone has had/knows people with similar? Thanks!
