Mike Ward - quite upbeat. Mentioned bollocks rumours this morning Falmer not ruled out. We need to convince Prescott other sites not viable. If we can convince Prescott, then Falmer gets a go ahead. Was asked about local objections. Replies they are based upon out of date ANOB status - bypass etc... ANONB "is a joke", but opponents have clung on to it Said that while both Inspectors have said no - Prescott believes there is still a case to be heard. Is this a delaying tactic by Prescott ? Could be, mentions labour conference. But Ward see's it as a genuine chance to reinforce the case. We are still looking at 2/3 years, more expense, lawyers etc.. He thinks early new year for decision.
