ITN has Midge Ure on the news talking about Ethiopia, and urging people to help again.

That would be great, except he's done the whole thing while holding a big hardback copy of his book in view of the camera. Nothing like using a bit of human misery to sell a few extra copies.

The ends justify the means I think. All celebs do this sort of stuff partly to help their own image and ease their consciences but the results are worth it.
