Quite a few comments on here about how we played better football last season and so far I'd have to agree. The problem is that once Curry turned us down, we made no effort to get a midfielder this summer who can put his foot on the ball and pick out a telling pass. Last year, our best performances were when O'Callaghan and later, when Racon were here but if you think back to most of the games that neither of them were involved in, we played pretty much the same as now. ie, c**p!

Playing Virgo in central midfield is a joke, he looks lost and clueless, by all means give him a run up front in place of the bone idle Murray or somewhere in the back 4, but not in midfield - he is simply not a midfielder!

We need a long term loan signing now, someone similar to either O'Callaghan/Racon, without such a player, performances will not improve and we will have to put up with this rubbish all season as we fight against relegation.

Finally, on a separate note, why the f**k did Lynch not start today and why was he not even on the bench? Did I miss something, was he injured or just left out? What does Adams have against him?

I agree but I honestly don't think Adams would know what to do with O'Callaghan/Racon style player. Adams seems lost in the notion that getting 'stuck in' is enough. It's not.

Good points made about our midfield. I expect Micky to act soon. For me Thomson and Livermore are just not up to it at the moment. Virgo is being played out of position. Fraser did OK today but is still a squad player.
