Makes me laugh, the way he says what the managers should do to win, when he got sacked from sunderland! :lolol:

He was entertainingly grumpy tonight.

I kept expecting him to say "that's fooking crap, that" to the 8m audience at any moment.

He is quite entertaining... far moreso than that JOHNSON Lawrenson

I like McCarthy, he has a no nonsense approach to commentary. He tells things as they are or should be, rather than suggesting things, or being plain annoying (Motson of course is an expert at this)

He almost talks as if he's from the dugout

I liked him insulting the ref the other day.

Southgate was piss poor on monday(??) I think.

I thought I'd hate him, but actually really like him. He's loads better than Lawrenson.

Do you think they've decided who will be co-commentator / panel guests in the final, or will they assess it, as the Championship progresses.

So far my co-commentator would be McCarthy.
Panel guests, Hansen, O'Neil and Shearer.
