Had mine at the Old Ship - not that I had any say in the matter. Good sea-front venue with it's own underground parking as I recall. If you've got wedding guests coming from all over the place I think it does discounted room rates for wedding guests. Plus of course you could book the honeymoon suite. It's a nice venue and the staff are friendly. Don't know about the Metropole, only ever been in there for afternoon tea & G&T courtesy of me ex-father-in-law. Pricier than the Old Ship I'd wager. Reckon Al Duomo would be a good laugh, lots of comedy shouting Itailian waiters, and the food would be guaranteed to be good - assuming everybody like Italian. Would certainly be good value.

So after careful consideration... Al Duomo.

Do I win an invite to the free bar? :p

Don't go to the Metropole, their rooms are lifeless and they seem to employ more agency staff than other places.
