Just to get of the Coppell theme of today, its great our youth system seems to be paying off at last. Mcphee looks like a useful support striker that will do well at this level. Hinsh is rock solid at the back and will get better with experience. All this plus Robinson coming into the squad and Harding doing OK is a definite positive for this season.

  They are great players in their own rights and and have worked hard to achieve there goal of first team football. Don't forget Dan Harding as well!! May be Dean Wilkins can step up and be manager if Coppell goes???

and the Ginger Prince - also a product of BHA youth football!

(not to mention Barry and Standing!)

It is certainly a good set up and is producing quality players !

Fantastic that we have players that are coming through with real Talent. Hinsh has been excellent in defence, McPhee looks like fulfilling some of the potential he has and keeping Henderson away from the pitch which is good in itself and Young Jake at 16 on the bench, I expect his chance will ocme at Forest Green a week today.

Dean Wilkins has done a grand job.

When was the last time this club produced a decent striker???
We brought Bobby on but can anyone name the last decent striker the club brought through the youth ranks?

The youth set-up at the club used to be a joke - and now it isn't. It's been broadly 'right' for a few years now and now we're seeing the results I know several parents with boys at various levels within the club (and parents of boys who were let go or left) and they all say positive things. I could moan about some aspects but it would just be nit-picking.

Very true - it's good news.

I had a chat with Dean Wilkins once when we were on our way to the Second Division title and was surprised that, although he was happy about promotion, he was also really frustrated by the success. It meant at that time that he knew none of the promising kids could get into the team. The only way he's got of measuring his own success is the number of players who actually make it.

If there's an upside of the trouble we had last season it's that a few of the lads got their chance, which must have given hope to all the youngsters. We're really reaping the benefit now.
