McGhee: We can do better
Mark McGhee admitted there was plenty of room for improvement after watching Brighton win their first home match under his stewardship.
Two goals in the first period of extra time from Chris McPhee secured a 3-1 win over Boston and booked a place in the third round of the LDV Vans Trophy, Peter Duffield having equalised Richard Carpenter's opener.
McGhee said: "At times we over-passed the ball and in the second half, when Boston rallied, we lost a bit of energy.
"We put ourselves under a bit of pressure with unnecessary passing, and from my point of view we over-complicated things.
"But to see five lads who have come through apprenticeship at Brighton on the pitch was encouraging, and I've no fears about putting young players like that into the team
