Brighton manager Mark McGhee says he is looking for a new striker after his side were beaten 1-0 by Conference side Stevenage at Broadhall Way.
The promoted side have made just one signing since the end of the season.
McGhee said: "The boys on trial all did well so there is a chance that we could sign someone from that group.
"We're also talking to one or two other players and will have a look at some other players on Wednesday at Southend but we do want to sign a striker."
McGhee added: "We have got as honest a bunch of lads as you could wish for.
"We know they will give it their best shot and hopefully we will improve as the season goes on."
