Who are they trying to kid? I doubt Wycombe have "SNUBBED" McGhee (in favour of the names listed????), more like they have simply confirmed he is not in the running, because he has already got a better offer on the table. Step forward MM as our new manager.

Wycombe snub McGhee

McGhee parted company with Millwall after three years
Wycombe have revealed that former Millwall manager Mark McGhee is not in the running to be the new manager at the Causeway Stadium.
McGhee left Millwall two weeks ago despite leading the Lions to eighth in Division One, and he has been heavily linked with the Choirboys' job as they sacked Lawrie Sanchez last month.

But Wycombe chairman Ivor Beeks says the club are not interested in McGhee and already have a shortlist of potential candidates.

"We haven't had any contact with Mark McGhee," said Beeks.

"It has been a hard task getting the shortlist down to seven or eight candidates," he told the club's official website.

It is believed that caretaker-boss John Gorman, assistant Terry Gibson and former Bristol Rovers boss John Ward are all in the frame for the job.

The Wycombe chairman is called WHAT? Ivor Beeks? Could have been worse for the lad I spose (cue juvenile delinquent list of surnames, headed by 'Big'un...')

Mate of mine is a big Wycombe fan, and this caused a lot of bad feeling. They got about £100k for the sponsoring of the Stadium, but "Adams" who the ground was originally named after donated them the land to build the stadium. That is a very valuable donation and a lot of Wycombe fans are furious at the name changing.

More importantly is he any relation to Clarence Beeks, the hardman in Trading Places? Did he get his chairmanship on the back of a dodgy frozen orange juice deal? By threatening Swedish lovlies? Does he look nervous around gorrillas?
