According to today's Argus, the main feature of training yesterday was shooting practice for the whole team as McGhee goes on the goal quest - good news surely. Apart from Leon, everyone else wants to pass the ball when they get in a good position including Carpenter who is usually so deadly from range!

Surely this focus can only be good news. :clap2:

I agree Gunter.

Standing behind the goal on Saturday, Chippy had the ball and I could see a clear direct line to the back of the net if he had only shot then, we would have won the match. Instead he chose to pass it across the penalty area to Knight and consequently a defender intercepted it and cleared.

It's good that the rest of the team are being told it is ok to shoot.

McGhee didn't take long in realising that some of the squad have just become lazy-prefering to pass the responsibility of goal scoring to one person. Maybe we'll see some better performances from those players that have settled into that comfort zone rut due to no competition for their places.

I have a feeling that he'll do for the Albion what Micky Adams did a few years ago.

Tonight's game is more important for some players than they realise......
