Should he be the assistant manager as he said 'management is not for me'.

But during games when he's with gus he doesn't speak to the players on the pitch and when I've seen other assistant managers I've seen them talking to the players every 10 mins or so

Gus and Tanno are a team. If Tanno was no use as an assistant, then Gus wouldn't have him there.

Simple.

Have you actually read the article or just seen the headline and made your own story up to go with it?

There is no such job as an "assistant manager". There is a job as a "manager's assistant" - it involves supporting the manager in the way that the manager feels he needs support. How it needs doing is a decision that every individual manager will make for himself. Gus and Tano obviously work well together. If Gus wants someone else doing the job, he will say so and get his way.

I've red the article but if he doesnt want to be in management then why's he in the assistant managers job cs personally I think Charlie and tano should swap roles

Not all assistant managers have ambitions to be a manager. Tano is happy in his role as he feels he is more suited to being an assistant.

Try googling Brian Kidd for an assistant manager who stepped out of that role with mixed results.

I think it's perfect, having an assitant who is not looking around for offers of a managers job elsewhere all the time. As good as Sir Alex is, losing his assistant to a managers job elsewhere has been very disruptive at times. He has now settled on Phelan who seems far less inclined to head off than the likes of Kidd, McLaren and Quiros sp?).

read LB's comments again and it will give you the answer that you might otherwise only find from the years of experience which are ahead of you if/when you find gainful employment
