Surely this man needs to come back to England.

There must be a queue of Clubs after him at the moment, what he has done at Celtic is just outstanding as last night proved.

180 mins against Barca without conceding, not one of his players with the exception of Larsson would get into any of the top 3 sides in England and they keep beating quality opposition.

Liverpool, Newcastle, Man U and Chelsea.....get in there quick is my advice.

I would imagine The Moores family will have already been in touch with him-at least I hope thay are.

M. Houllier has surely had his last European game as Liverpool manager. Shame really because Liverpool have never been a sacking club historically but I suspect he'll get le boot. Take Phil Thompson with you on the way out please Gerard.

Id love it to be Liverpool as well, over night they would challenge for the title in my opinion.
Would be great to have 4 sides up there.

Is Liverpool your "Premeirship Club" or something?

Whilst I agree with the points your making regarding what would be good for Liverpool. I don't think I'd include the word please as I don't really give toss either way?

Whoever goes there (LFC) has one hell of a job on their hands. It is full of under achievers. Change is needed for the good of Liverpool and for the good of the game-too few clubs challenging, REALLY challenging Arse and ManUre and Chelski.

MARTIN O'NEILL FOR ENGLAND. WE MAY JUST WIN SOMETHING THEN

I think you may well be right.

Wasn't O'Neil Wycombe manager when we went there in the league cup and gave them a hiding?

im convinced that O'Neill will be the Liverpool manager come next season. Its a good challenge, but he does have the raw talent there to do a job and will get money to improve where needed.

Chelsea is out imo as there's too much control coming from above and O'Neill stikes me as the sort who would want to do everyhting his way. Likewise, i cant cant see him taking England job (assuming Ericcson goes) due to teh politics.

Only other possiblilty might be Newcastle, big, underachiving club that he could shape into a top 3 team.

If Sven goes, I want O 'Neill as the next England manager. Can't have him going to Liverpool. Heavens above, they might start winning things again.

I wanna see O'Neill in the Prem long before he takes over England, dont get me wrong Ithink he would be great for us but he needs to be challenging teams week in week out not every other month when Rangers appear!

The one I have heard is ....O'neil interested in England job.
Erickson is getting Beckham dangled as a carrot for the Madrid job and has had talks! Quiroz@Real is going at end of season!
Chelski i have no idea who is getting that and don pity the bloke who does. I would imaging for Ranieri - he will be offered either Liverpool or Spurs!

Thats just my opinion though!!

Their record in the Champions League and UEFA Cup aint bad for a team which cost next to nothing !!!

yeah true, but I wanna see what he does against the best England has to offer week in week out. He's got plenty of time yet to become Englands manager so lets not rush him into it.

There are probably going to be a few big clubs looking for a manager next season Liverpool, (dependent on champions league qualification) Chelsea (dependent on final league finish and how they do in Champions league)

However if these clubs don't come in for him then the only big club who have been looking and have apprently identified their first choice is Tottenham, I reckon with ENIC's links and O'Neil looking to move south they could be his choice you could not get a bigger challenge they are the massive underachievers of the last 20 years.
