I really like the bloke he comes across as being slightly mental which is always amusing in a manager, hope this isn’t the end of his managerial career.

I think there’s only one way out of this one for Allen, firstly hire Cheryl Cole’s PR man and then marry a black women. It’s the only way.

When he was at Brentford, he was the next big thing - he'll now be lucky to get another managing job.

My mind may be playing tricks on me but I'm fairly sure that some people on here would have welcomed him as new manager a year or so back.

how he still has any sort of job in football is beyond me

since leaving brentford, he really has done f*** all. couldnt get mcdons out of the bottom division, failed at leicester, and took a cheltenham side that survived relegation twice, deemed them not good enough, completely dismantled it in favour of bringing in his own players and looks like he may promptly lead them back into the conference

still, his off the field antics are pretty amusing. this is just the follow up to his performance in dropping his trousers in a local pub with the justification "ive put £100 behind the bar, ill do what i f***ing well like"

Hmm...you could look at it either way.

Got Brentford into the play-offs, got MK Dons into the play-offs, got Leicester off to a good start but only had four games before falling out with Mandaric. Cheltenham have the smallest budget in the league and were fifth before they lost the last few games.

one of the reasons cheltenham have the smallest budget in the league is because mad dog totally overspent last year on loan players who played two or three games and whom he then deemed not good enough. for a club of cheltenhams size, using over 40 players in a season is obviously going to cripple them financially

yes - and look where it got us. only slade settling the team down at the end produced results. unfortunately for cheltenham, they dont have a tony bloom to bankroll all those pointless and non-improvement signings

Is it racist though ?

If he thought the bloke was a bastard then fair enough and he is clearly black ??

Whose fault is that if the board made the funds available to him?
