Released by Rotherham. I think he had a fall out with the Rotherham management.

Will score loads of goals in this division. Scored a lot at Bristol City on loan last year.

Not sure he will want to move down south though.

After the way we've been hoofing it recently, I have one important question.

How tall is he?

Leave well alone. Yeah ok so he's not bad by Div 2 standards but how's he going to fit in? You'd have to drop Knight to accomodate him. We need someone to compliment Knight not replace him. Some of you are expressing a 'Leeds' mentality (he's a forward, he's available so lets get him regardless of what we've currently got).

Because they are both very similar players. In this division we need another forward with a bit more presence. Someone like (but not) Rougier. Certainly this is the case if we're going to keep hoofing it. And we will because sometimes it's the best option in a defensive situation especially as we lack creativity in midfield.

I'm amazed that this isn't blindingly obvious. Do any of you actually WATCH football or do you just support Brighton and that's it?

I think your wrong Brovian.

So if the style of play changes under Mghee. Which it surely will, his sides tend to play football, you will be happy to have Robins ?

They could play together no problems, if there quality players which we know they, then its not a problem.

If you have a 6ft 4 lumbering striker up front, which you seem so keen on, then the temptation will always be to lump it out from the back.

Players makes systems and style of play.

Why does Knight need compliments? Is he so insecure that he needs other players telling him "You're playing really well" or "That was a great goal, Leon"? :)

Robins will go to some shocking northern team anyway.

Meopham, Kent.
I think we still need 2 strikers, as the cover is desperately thin. Robins would be an excellent signing IMHO.

Well I'll have to accept I'm in the minority here! Either you're all insane or I am!

Still he could link up with Jeff Minton ..........

Reports linking Rotherham's transfer-listed striker Mark Robins with a move to Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday have been dismissed by both clubs.

A Millers spokesman said: "Mark has been linked with a number of clubs but as far as Wednesday goes, it's just paper talk. No direct approach has been made."

The former Manchester United, Norwich and Leicester forward has made only two starts this season, but the Owls' financial situation means he is unlikely to resurrect his career at Hillsborough.

A Wednesday spokesman confirmed: "It's just speculation. We need to get our wage bill down.

"We can't bring anyone in unless we off-load people first and nothing is happening at the moment."
