Well, we sure as hell don't want him as he's the biggest tart in managerial history.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Too right we dont want him.
First sign of anyone sniffing around and he would be off like a f***ing shot.
Lets not add the mighty Albion to the long list of clubs he has shat on both as a player and a manager.

Get back Steve Gritt and give him the job. He was only fired becuase of a personality clash with McGhee. He deserved better.

I don't like the bloke as he seems to be a duplicitous little sod, but this seems a bit harsh. Millwall aren't far away from the top and he's got a good young team.

There must be more to this story.

Something strange here. He won the Div 2 Championship in 2000/2001, made the Div 1 playoffs 2001/2002, finished 9th last season and currently lying one point out of the playoffs. Not a bad record all in all...so why has he left 'by mutual agreement' maybe he has a bigger club to go to? ???

Prsumably not one that is lying near the top of the Second Division then........

He is definitely with Graham Rix, Trevor Francis and Glen Hoddle on the "Not, on any account, to be seen within a million miles of Withdean" list DK

Millwall are a minature football club in the mould of Reading FC.
Thats a tad harsh, Millwall at least have a modicum of history and passionate supporters !

Could not have put it better, although Tigana, Tony Adams and Stuart Gray need adding to that list.

I don't think he'd be a bad manager for us. He did well at Millwall I thought, knows plenty of people in the game and would have good contacts, and he plays good football.

McGhee is a F:censored: c:censored: although looking at his track record with Millwall (playoffs, promotion, playoffs, 9th, 8th - at the moment) it seems a bit harsh. Not that we'd like the man to do well or anything.

He's a good manager, and if he went to BHA then that would be one hell of a cup game.

Mc Ghee got it spot on when he left Reading! Best thing he ever did. Don't want him down here though.

It does seem rather strange and very sudden. There have been no rumours of him going.

Archie Knox his assistant has gone as well. I suspect a major bust up with the Chairman, as there aren't really any job around that I can see he's quit for - unless he's going to Spurs.

He can't have quit to come here. Advantages for him are obvious, but he wouldn't be allowed to bring his assistant with him.

I must say, the more I think about it, the more i like the idea of MM coming here.

the fact that Reading HATE him, just makes it an even better appointment.
:D
