Just had another email from Mark Chapman (Chappers) on Radio 1.

He said that he'd heard that I hear 85 out of 91 sent flowers and wanted to know who the 6 who didn't were?

Is this true?

He's well behind us and has offered to help us some more which is why I posted a thread asking for suggestions but no-one seems interested!?!

IMHO I think it's a shame that a high profile sports journalist on national radio is offering his services and no-one can be bothered - I thought we wanted falmer?

'tis true, Dick Knight also said this on Radio 5 last night in interview before Luton match, I then switched to SCR, happy we had some national coverage. He also refered to flowers being sent "...by most premiership sides", so there are a few of the big boys being ***ts
I have a feeling Chelski are one of them, seagullsgonnagetya had all sorts of trouble with them.
Although all the Chelsea fans in my area are totally on our side, maybe cos G**g S*****y is a neighbour, and they think he's a twat!

I'm not sure how helpful it is to name those that didn't offer a message of support - I'm not sure, but some of them may have excuses. I certainly know four of the six, but I'll keep that to myself for the time being (albeit that two have been mentioned elsewhere)

Southand and Palace DEFINITELY DID NOT send messages, but presumably had their own reasons. Probably the only person who knows is Paul Samrah.

I sent him an email on Friday via Sara Cox - same one as the emails going to the football clubs.

He replied yesterday to say that he'd mentioned the Brighton campaign on 606 on Sunday and was going to do the same this afternoon on Radio 1. He wished us luck with it and asked if there was anything else he could do to make people aware then to let him know.

think its better to not name them individually but just mention that 6 clubs includinging a premship club didnt contribute they no who they are .. may feel embareesed and do something about it ..esp the premship club if it is chelsea..Think that would carry more weight than naming and shaming...i wonder if chappers would do that ?

Personally, I would get back to him and say that it doesn't really matter who those six were. I would rejoice in thanking the 85. This is supposed to be a POSITIVE campaign. We want Prescott to say YES.

Obviously a very valid excuse. I understand that the secretary at Palace was very supportive of our cause, but had to get Simon Jordan's OK, and unfortunately wasn't able to get confirmation in time. I would guess that the very short time scale is the reason why we didn't get 100% support, rather than any lack of co-operation from any individual team.
