Managerial Sackings & FFP

I've always been surprised by the amount of clubs that sack their manager and then need to pay them off even though the club has little/no money in the bank. (Even if the manager has been awful)

Plymouth sacked Peter Reid when they were in administration and he was paying their heating bill - They ended up having to pay his contract off

Hearts have had countless winding up orders issued and have just sacked their manager

Does anyone think clubs may wait before they sack someone now given that the pay off will affect their FFP position...

Or am I just being retarded?

A good question but if a club in administration sacks a manager then that manager just becomes another person in the queue for the money ( albeit a football creditor so they would in theory get 100% unless they agree something less ).

I think it's a fair point to raise.

Many clubs never seen to give their managers a fair crack at bringing success, especially since the Premier league came into being. Chairman need to realise that not every club can expect success every year, as do fans and shareholders.

Stability is key and I think this shows with the clubs that stand by their managers. If Everton had sacked Moyes because he has failed to win any silverware do you think that they would have achieved more success? I believe that they would have been relegated if he wasn't still there!

Look at clubs like Charlton. They let Curbishly go and look what happened to them,

When was it last that a club got relegated with a manager that had any real length of service?

Some of these chairman that hold the guns should have the bullets removed and some time to reflect before deciding to pull the trigger!

FFP should I hope, rectify and stabilise a lot of clubs and their thought processes.
