For me it was Richards by a country mile, his best performance in the strips and let's hope for a few more like this.

Elphick's last ditch tackle to avert a certain goal capped a fine performance. Definitely my MOM although Murray did run him close and seems to be striking up a good understanding with the hard working Forster.

Totally agree with that. And his wonderful run to set up Murray put the icing on the cake . :albion2:

P.S. I was of the opinion when he first came to us that Rents had been robbed too.

The main reason was a completely different change from Tuesday which proves he can do it.

Elphick I am afraid has set very standards we expect.

Now what was the El Abd error count in defence today - think I got to four

I would have given it to Richards although Elphick was also outstanding.

I also thought El Abd did well, despite the one error that seems to blight even his good performances.

Forster is clearly playing above this league on a regular basis.

Richards for me and not just because of his magnificent run and pass to Murray

I was only just thinking, what a good game he was having, and how well he was performing in defense. His passing was great, consistent and accurate well-weighted balls forward.
Then, he goes forward, through the heart of their midfield, without doing what everyone must have expected him to do by then - which would be to try and pass it to his man wide. Cox took his man away from the centre too, which should not go unnoticed, and helped create the gap through the middle that MR moved through.
A perfect ball to Mr Murray, who took it with measured aplomb - and a wonderful left-footed finish that really wasn't as easy as he made it look, as the angle was diminishing fast (and I was looking from almost directly behind it).

GREAT goal, and well done the lads. A standout game from our performances this season - every player was a credit to the stripes, and to each other.
