Did he hand in a transfer request?

Yes, he was on the bench for Nottingham Forest, where he's spending a month on loan ahead of a possible permanent move. :)

Seeing as their centre back got sent off right at the end of the game, I think his chance will come next game...

What is the big deal with Lynch handing in a transfer request.
Isn't it obvious he wanted to move to Forest and with him used as back up to Hawkins it gave him the opportunity to leave.

All I hope is that we get a shed load of money for Lynch who clearly doesn't want to be here. We need a decent sell-on clause too...one that is a little more watertight than the Zamora deal with Spurs.

A sell-on clause for Lynch?! In case he moves from being a bench warmer at Forest to a bench warmer at a Premier League club?

If money changes hands for him we should ensure we get a chunk of it. Just in case he turns into a valuable player we need to ensure we get a piece of the financial action, it might never happen but look at how we screwed up with Dean Saunders and Zamora...sell-on clauses should be a feature of all our dealings for the foreseeable future.

Lynch is a very good player but like so many talented footballers he can have a bit of an attitude problem at times. The skill comes in being able to manage a player like that - Coppell was the only manager that we have had in recent times that has been able to get the best out of such players. The rest just seem to view players of this ilk as disruptive and more trouble than they are worth.

Shock horror someone joins a new club in a higher league in mid week and sits on the bench, that has never happened before...
