Luton boss Kevin Blackwell says the football family, FA and Football League "haven't helped the club one bit" in their current financial struggle (Express).


I noticed this on the BBC website this morning, I fail to see how its the FA or Football leagues fault that they have spent money on players that they cant afford.

Im sure Perry, Currie, Peschisolido, Hutchison, Furlong and Paul McVeigh all signed in the summer are all going to be on a large wage for this league considering they were all at Championship clubs last year.

I see yesterday they came out accusing Liverpool of being greedy for not donating the £200k odd gate receipts from their cup tie.

Fair enough, ask Liverpool to help - fair enough, Liverpool say no - they have their own money issues with the new stadium anyway. But for Luton to then come out to the media and accuse them of being tight is bang out of order really, portraying Liverpool as being moneygrabbing all over the back pages of the tabloids.
