Looks like Doug Loft is going to be loaned out .... Dover Athletic, probably.

Personally, I think he's been a bit unlucky not to be more involved this season. Saw flashes of what he could do last season, and thought he'd be one to benefit from being a division lower. Hopefully he'll get some regular games, and come back all the better for it.

Abort, retry, fail
I feel that he is good on the ball, good at tricks and got a nice shot, but don't think he has what it takes to be a professional footballer, although I hope I am wrong on the latter part.

A loan move would be good for him as he hasn't bounced back from his early substitution yet.

Terry White was coach at Hastings while Doug was there. He's just taken over as caretaker boss at Dover from Clive 'Flash' Walker so it would make sense.

And he's Dean's cousin.

Doug's hair cut is probably the most skillfull thing on his body.

Has been bordering on awful in many appearances, also not convinced he is up to it.

A loan is a good move + should prove more

It's a different Clive Walker, but the rest of that is true with Terry White in temporary charge due to ill health of Walker.

Chesterfield home game, possibly the WORST few minutes of football I've seen from an Albion player in recent times.

I remember saying when we signed him he'd be cack and all I got was "Ian Wright came from the non-leagues, give him a chance yadda yadda yadda". I do hate to be right.
How can you possibly have been right without ever having seen him? Are you psychic? :)

Is Revell cack? Have you already written Elder off too?

Call it a hunch but generally, nobodies from the non-league don't quite turn out to be Ronaldinho ;)

They may not turn out to be Ronaldinho, but they can turn out to be Les Ferdinand, or Ian Wirght, and let's face it, we'd be delighted if Elder turned out to be another Alex Revell.

How often does a Ferdinand or Wright come along though? Once in a blue moon? If players are good enough they'll get snapped up by a league club when they're young enough. I appreciate we're not millionaires but this is why I wish Wilkins would would look elsewhere for signings.

Of the players that come into the League from non-league, I'd suggest a great deal more of them make it that you appear to think.

But the bottom line is Loft is not one of them I'm afraid

As it turns out, yes, you're probably right. If you decided this before you had even seen him though, then that's just stupid.
