Loan Signings - who would you like?

The season has settled down a bit now, so there must be a fair few Premiership players who are realising that they are very much surplus to requirements at their club, and could be looking at a loan move.

Whereas we have had a chance to identify where we need further strengthening. Be realistic, who would you like to see us get in.

Paul Brooker - rumour is he is already doubting whether he has made the right move. We need some creativity in midfield, and he needs some games.

Dion Dublin - O'Leary has made it clear that he doesn't feature in Villa's plans, and at 34 he can't really hang around waiting for too long, he needs games and needs to be "in the shop window." Couple of seasons ago he was prepared to drop to Div 1 for a loan spell at Millwall, so I doubt Div 2 would be out of the question and I can hardly think of a more suited partner for Leon.

Ivar Ingimarsson back alongside Cullip. Yeah OK Butters is doing alrigth but he lacks pace and distribution. Cullip and Ivar looked very good/strong last season and I'd like him back until Blackwell is fit.

Would be cool to get Brooker back but I cant see it happening.

Yeah, Ivar back just to give us some strength in depth. He can play in a few positions and would be very handy in the 2nd division if he doesnt mind dropping down past the first.

Aside from that, I'd like to see a young midfielder/winger, someone who can excite and create and is willing to learn. QPR got the boy McLeod(?) and i think someone like that would be good for us.

And obviously a striker who can score would be a bonus.

Would be surprised if II came back, but if no-one in Div 1 is interested you never know. Playing in the stiffs can be doing him absolutely no good whatsoever.

Sidwell will only go higher.

So would Sol Campbell and Patrick Viera - and about as likely too ;)

The title of the thread was 'who would you like' not who are we likely to get. :p

In that case Beckham and Rooney, oh and Michael Owen warming the bench for when Knight fancies a nap.

Would love to see Ivar back, though I understand this is highly unlikely as he may well get a chance at Wolves if they carry on like they started the season. Wouldn't mind seeing Junior Lewis back too, can't see him figuring at all with Leicester, he could provide that little bit of skill that might get us into the play-offs at the very least.

Could be worth taking a chance on Lloyd Owusu ( sp? ) currently not doing too much at Sheffield Wednesday. When he played for S.C. at Brentford, he scored plenty of goals and 'could' prove the perfect foil for Leon Knight.
