came out of the car park, drove to the main roundabout out of town and got in the wrong lane(!!), I let some bloke in a datsun infront of me and1( carried on....some twat in a black golf ( reg x something) shot in front of me and slammed on his braked whilst giving me the fists sign. I backed off and he then drove at about 40 MPH on the dual carriage way leading to the A1(M) turn off when I pulled into the left hand lane to turn on to the A1. He comes from the right hand lane ( 3rd land) pulls in front of me and slamms his anchors on...I hit the brakes and some guy smacks into the back of me. The golf driver gets out and starts gesticulating and said " you were in the wrong lane" I said I know as I didnt know where I was ( coming from 150 miles away) He kept going on and then realising that I had been hit, he jumped panickingly in his car and sped off.

I now have a bumper that is not hanging off but has broken its brackets and will cost about £300 ish for a new one and no idea who this twat was.

Did anyone else see the incident?

I know you shouldn't complentate Road Rage, but if he hadn't have drove off and continued his rant, I would have smashed his f***ing face in!!!!!

Well some monkey threw a banana out of a car window at me.

I blame Chappers.

Should have smashed him anyway Dave, getting out of the car is a clear sign of aggression and people get so lairy on the roads that it often seems to be a hit first or be hit situation.

Sorry to hear about the bumper BTW.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but if someone crashes into the back of your car, that person is liable as they would have been travelling to close to you car.

Did you exchange details with the person who crashed into the back of you. I also hope you did not accept any responsibilty. Let you insurance broker sort it all out, that it was they get their commission for.

Yes I agree Manx. I got hit at a roundabout behind because the guy behind me thought I was going to emerge and I didn't.

The damage was about £800 as he hit me so hard the boot floor buckled. He had to pay everything including my excess.

Usually the person who runs into the other is at fault. HOWEVER, there are occasional exceptions. If it can be proved the person at the front had caused the accident (Dave's incident would be a good example) through their actions, they could be found liable. Very hard to prove though and uncommon.

You must of been close to losing your temper?
Had an incident myself coming out of a garage as this prick with his bird wouldn't let me out so i gave the wanker sign and he stuck his fingers up and that was it i lost it big time and shot out the car only for the twat to spin off on the oposite road grrrr.

You can see why there is shite loads of road rage as some pricks are so rushy all the time.:nono:

I ramed into the back of someone (they did an emergancy stop - honest)! I looked and the number plate was the only thing broken (it was only about 15 mph). Checked the boot and nothing had buckled. Gave the girl my details, and later had a call from my insurance company saying it was written off (yeah right)! Got them to check the details and it would seem as if she drove her car into a tree or something to get the money. Luckily my insurance company didn't pay out as I had witnesses!
