Ah shit sorry, must have missed it. It's genius though so perhaps worthy of two threads? ???

The more the merrier! To be fair, Blizzard does humbly give props to Grist throughout, suggesting he's not really the angry brat of his rap persona. And some of his word-play, such as "gonna get rid of Mark like when Germany brought the Euro in" and "only talk gas, mark, on various degrees" are genius. However, it's with great satisfaction to see Grist cut him down to size.

Some of Mark Grist's bars:
"You might not believe me but you've actually met most of them
I mean there wasn't much light, you were a lower height kind of slobbering like a doberman
Those nights out gathering STD's whilst Bradley stayed in collecting Pokemon
And you beat him by a landslide cos he only collected most of them"

And...
"This young green plants himself with better rappers, hopes to get it through osmosis
The best of ventriloquist dummies, his arse can take on both fists
Then he rides them in so deep as it appears to be riding on their shoulders!"

Quality.

The seaside.
It's not his teacher. The kid is from Manchester. The older bloke comes from Peterborough and is a professional poet who does bits of supply teaching on the side. The two agreed before the bout to make out the kid was his student as it would help both of them add more edge to their rhymes. Still impressive stuff despite the deceit.

Very good extensive interview with both of them on Radio 5 Live this morning (Monday). Still on iPlayer I expect.

Or was it Sunday? No, pretty sure it was Monday morning.

Sorry, I've been ill!!!

blizzard is actually very talented for someone of his age.
he's mc'd properly since the age of 13 (spat at one my nights when i did that kind of thing when living in manchester), produces his own beats, can play a wide arrange of instruments, and his mentor is wiley.
I believe hes only like 17 now and well for someone who generally does grime from outside of london to get as much regcognition as he has is a good look.

personally i think their are many many better mc's out there (his cousin shifty for one), but blizzard is an MC that is catering for the wider audience in general
