Today i listened to the commentary, and Withdean sounded akin to a sparsely populated cricket match...

Then out of nowhere a microphone must have been introduced into the sound mix, as half a chant from the South Stand came blaring out of over my speakers... before a split second later some sound engineer must've cut it out and I was left listenin to the same cricket match atmosphere.

When I listen to football on the radio or watch on tv, it's nice to have the atmosphere included, not ommited.

Quite frankly its embarassing that when we score a goal, all you can hear on SCR is polite applause from whatever section of the North Stand they have the mic placed.

SORT IT OUT... I know Withdean isn't always the loudest but why not at least emphasise what atmosphere that there is.

Heard that too. Atmosphere not too bad as a rule, or maybe that's just when we're playing away.

SEAGULL USA - yeah i remember listenin to the Notts County game on SCR, a little while back and it sounded like a Premiership match cos we were makin so much noise (as always away)

But SCRshould sort it out for home games. Make the most of what noise there is.

And get a mic in the garden of our firework friend too - was he in effect tonight? I want to hear those rockets if i cant be at the games!!!! :clap2:

No rockets today. They do sound loud over the airwaves. Come back Rocketman.
Maybe we could start a 40 note fund for him. ;)

Hmmm... I'd never heard whether they'd managed to stop him.
How sad that some people complain about a few fireworks goin off (and never later than 10pm) maybe once a week (at most).

From my flat in Worthing, I can often hear fireworks goin off (dunno why but hey...) but I've never felt the inane urge to dial the police about it

Didn't rocket man go into voluntary retirement after one of his rockets landed on the head of someone in block E during the Watford game last season?

Pretty certain one went off at the QPR game

i would much rather hear the crowd than the commentary sometimes.

i too heard the blast when they must have turned on the wrong mic. sounded excellent!

'Tis true that Withdean sounds like park football when listening on the radio, but that is compensated for by the sheer terror of listening to commentary and not really having a clue what is happening.

Every attack sounds like a certain goal - by them or us. And whenever our defenders have the ball you're begging them to hoof it clear because you're imagining six of their players bearing down on our lads.

I spend most of the match hiding under the table with my head in my hands. Overactive imagination I guess.
