Afternoon all you poor sods at work. Thought it best to take a break from the mighty Bock and say hi. Lisbon has been good so far, the single flight out is still looking good, as you all know that we are still in the tournament, with a quarter against the hosts to look forward.

I have already seen the Scholes thread, but do you doubters and armchair experts still wants him out of the team? His and Owens off the ball movement was superb, all Mr Owen needs is a goal and teams can no longer put 2 defenders on him, as Rooney is causing havoc.

We had drama getting out of the country, that well know football drunk, Ms Jailbird was stopped by those fine chaps from the constabulory of Sussex and had her details taken and a check done on her, due to that game in Ipswich, yours truely had no problems, but that is what happens when you are an upstanding member of the community.

Still the sites are calling and we are awaiting the arrival of Dandyman tomorrow, so have fun at work, bye

We got a twin room in a hotel in Alcacer Do Sol, a lovely town south of Lisbon, for around 60 Euros on Sunday night. The night before we got a motel north of Lisbon for 50 Euros. So it can be done.

Mind you, a hotel in Esposende - a shithole north of Porto - was charging 195 Euros a night, including a Euro 2004 "tax" of 100 Euros. C****.
