There were two what looked like camera lights and several people on the hardstanding behind the hammer net for the duration of the game last Friday. Anyone know what that was all about ?

Not sure but it was bloody annoying having those lights in your face all game!

Listening to the commentry on Radio Stoke they thought it was a car and the lights were only switched on for the second half when their keeper had to face them - they losely eluded to them being a little bit of gamesmanship by Brighton ...

I think it was for Sky Sports News. They have various ex-pros at some grounds giving updates on how the game is going. Whenever they cut to one of these guys something controversial happens and the reporter can't turn around to see what's going on. Chris Kamara is especially afflicted by this.

Best one i've seen was at Coventry vs Rochdale in the FA cup a couple of years ago. Alan MacInally was doing the reports and behind him was a rather disgruntled Coventry fan who kept mouthing stuff like "this is f*cking shit" and "absolute wank" behinf his back.

What a GREAT idea! We could do this from both ends every game!

GENIUS!

Is this for real? As I said, it did look like a TV crew but they were miles away from the pitch! I feel sorry for the poor s o d who was doing the reporting if thats the case.

I can confirm that the SKY man was at that end of the ground at quite a way away from the pitch.

But they did on Gillette Soccer Special or whatever on Sky Sports News. The reporter seemed to be on the bank behind the hammer net in that corner.

Why would they cut to the Withdean during another live game?
