High up on the South Downs.
Charles Kennedy seems a decent man but he presides over a party that varies depending which part of Britain you're in.
My experience of them is that they are smug, insular and small-minded. Deceitful con men like Bellotti can be found in all parties but the Lib Dems are clearly anti-sport in Sussex. The behaviour of Norman Baker and Lewes DC shows the arrogance of these people; many of whom were educated at a university that was built on a green field site on the South Downs.
I apologise to the decent Lib Dem MPs who supported the EDM in favour of Falmer. I have voted for their party in the past but never again.

As said during their recent conference, Lib Dem is a bit like a Frachise party that you can support or oppose whatever suits locally. I actually admire this lack of central party control but in our political system it means they come over as a bit flaky. They're all bloody Little-Englanders/Scots/Welsh that dont want any real change in their nieghbourhood except for to spead money on PC projects like cycle lanes. And Go-karting for convicted joy-riders - WTF is that about

And the alternatives are an increasingly right-wing reactionary Government or the Tories :(
I agree. But the Tories are often closer to "ordinary people" than the Lib Dems - especially outside Sussex.
For all their faults, only Labour will allow Falmer.
